Once again Black Rain Ordnance is gearing up to attend the Oklahoma Full Auto Shoot and Trade Show (OFASTS). The annual 2 day event, organized by Mike Friend of The Firing Line, will take place in Wyandotte Oklahoma on June 25th and 26th.
This is one of the largest machine gun shoots in the country in which ordinary private citizens get a chance to rent and shoot fully automatic weapons under the supervision of experienced range officers.
For Black Rain Ordnance, it's a chance to show off the capabilities and test the endurance and quality of their products in the hands of actual and potential customers.
"Of course we can't just sell anyone a full auto rifle," Said Black Rain general manager Jared Moser, "But the semi automatic consumer model is constructed exactly the same minus the full-auto components, so the customer can get the rifle in their hands, feel the handguard, the weight, and see how it fits them if they're considering a purchase. And of course shooting the rifle in auto is a memorable experience in and of itself and we certainly want to be associated with a fun and positive memory."
If you get tired of shooting machine guns (unlikely), there is plenty to see and do around the event. Helicopter and armored personnel carrier rides have always been popular with attendees. You can test your sniper skills in a friendly competition among sharp shooters (You must bring your own rifle and ammunition to participate in the sniper match). If you're up for a real thrill and are unfazed by heights, try out the aerial course; where participants fire a rifle from the bay of a helicopter!
Black Rain's newest ambassador, 2013 Miss Kansas and Host of NRA All Access, Theresa Vail will be in attendance. She'll be hanging out with Black Rain Ordnance and enjoying the show and anyone is invited to come by and say hello.Check out the OFASTS 2015 Highlight Reel from Black Rain Ordnance Here:
